What ever Soviet Force needs....

Rather ride on the outside considering how dammed small those apc's are!

Well these fine comrades would!

Plus a ManPad -strella and additional crewman for the mortar, DhSK and AGS-18

or an observer..lots of uses

Also the Prone operator for the AT-3 Sagger Tank Killer

Finally the DhSK and AGS-18 crew. Also useful for plenty other options (plus they will be:))

That leaves me with the crew served weapons to model and I'm ready to begin mould making!

Hope you like them as much as me :)

Scandinavian Theater WIP

Here are the startings of my own campaign

Painting up the VDV

I really wasnt sure on the snow camo was so I went with this camo pattern. Its supposed to be a light white wash like the soviet ww2 tanks, however with larger areas unpainted to show a camo tone. Someone lined A czech winter camo picture of a BMP and it looked largely like this

Turned out quite well

Should have the infantry soon to add :)

Winter is coming.....the VDV Infantry Preview!

Here are the first infantry 'greens' for my new cold war range and I am very pleased with them. They are the Soviet Airborne VDV infantry in winter BDU's.  They are just as good for most Soviet Winter troops to be fair!

Armed with AK 's RPK's, RPG's, automatic grenade launchers, Mortars, Anti Air Missiles, Heavy HMG's and the armour of its BMD apcs and ASU 85 tank destroyers a force such as this dropped behind you rear will surely mess up your day!

These fine comrades will be finished over the next few days and fast tracked to ArmiesArmy HQ for moulding. Depending on Christmas etc....I hope to have them out in 2 - 3 weeks.

thanks

Keith

A call to arms comrades!

Looking for help!

As I've advertised here myself and Ram Company Games are looking at creating some scenario packs amongst other things. Would any of you be interested in helping us out? :) We would like play testers to run through some scenarios with rules suggestions (you can use any of your favourite set), sanity check info and have input into future areas. A sort of military historical SME :)

We pay in PDF for all people involved! Ill also offer %off deals for any forces I create from them :)
Drop me a message for more details and interest :)

Cheers

Cold War ' Hot Metal' .........the BMD 1

Hello from ArmiesArmy HQ!

Hot "literally" off the press is the first master casting of the VDI BMD 1.  Its missing its hatches (which can be deployed open or closed and its options of ATGM.   It really looking impressive and will go into production moulds next week, ready at the following weekend for sale. I also hope to have the ASU-85 ready as I've also got the master metal casting completed. The hull (which will be resin) is also off to the resin caster.

Ill be  painting one or two of these up and shipping some for pro painting over the next day or two. Possibly...this evening as I cant wait :)

p.s

the infantry dollies were dropped off for casting today to :)

cold war infantry upcdate

Hello from ArmiesArmy HQ

Just thought Id let you know the latest news on my cold war line and share some 'pictures'

As I mentioned I am creating a number of dollies which will allow me to master mould in  metal and then use as bases for churning out a number of troop types.

Well...here are a few pictures of the dollies which are heading to the master mold maker. These include Sov and Nato  dollies

Also included in the  dollies are a number of appropriate weapons which will be used and a number of heads'helmets.

On the vehicles I also have the BDM and ASU-85 heading to the master mould maker and I hope to show copies next week. I may end up going with an all metal casting for the BDM due to the size of it and then its all in my own control and it keeps cost lower.

Hope you like them. Ill be posting pictures of the heads and weapons up over the next couple of days

thanks

Keith

p.s

Here is a picture for size comparisons. That is an excellent Forged in Battle WW2 figure. They are very much the same scale and size as FOW figures

p.p.s

Is that a Norwegian helmet......
